Executive Director Appointed to Ministry Email
Written by Rebecca Bunge : President

We are very excited to introduce our new Executive Director.

2009 could have been a discouraging year. It can be discouraging if we measure results in the same way we measure our own performance, test results, etc. ‘Expend effort’ and ‘get expected results’. But God says ‘plant seeds’ and ‘harvest’. We go into this knowing that those planting the seeds may never see the harvest. We are called to plant seeds by ministering to pregnant teens and show them Christ’s unconditional love and example. Cara’s House Maternity Home continued operations in our Founder’s home as we continued to raise funds to build the long prayed for Cara’s House.

An immediate need to continue working with the young women who had chosen to parent and had graduated from Cara’s House became critical. That need was met by opening Victory House Transitional Living. It is a safe place and program for those young women and mothers who are working on an education or certification while learning parenting and living skills. As we speak we have 3 young women enrolled in Victory House Transitional Living. To all of those who were faithful in prayer and funds we thank God for you. You have made the difference!

We all prayed for someone to lead this ministry on a daily basis since my job continues to take me out of town over half the time. We were praying for a MIRACLE – a big one. Little did we know that all throughout the year, while we were praying (and not seeing an answer), God was preparing the right person and moving them to Bellville with their family.

Unbeknownst to us, God was preparing us and them for the right time – HIS time. If we had written a resume for this person, it could not have been any better. Our new Executive Director has a Master’s in Education, has taught at the High School level, was a volunteer counselor at a Crisis Pregnancy Center and she and her husband worked at Boys and Girls Country for two years right before moving to Bellville. AMAZING!

But it gets better! Our new Executive Director is strongly rooted in the Bible, has a heart and passion for teen girls in crisis and connects with the girls in a way many can’t. Cyndi is a gift from God, and you will begin to know her and her heart in the coming seasons. I introduce to you, Cinnamon Dull, our new Executive Director!
