Cara’s House provides teens who choose an alternative to abortion, with a safe living environment and the love and support they need. We provide each girl with counseling and training to help her decide whether to parent her child or to place the child for adoption. We teach her what is involved in becoming a healthy parent and what is required to raise her child. We also give her practical support and help her finish her education and gain employment. 

Our founders opened their own home to start the Cara’s House ministry. However, they have room for only three girls according to State licensing regulations, and the need is great.

We are in the planning stages of building the permanent location of Cara’s House in Bellville TX. The ministry has the land on which to build, and the building plans for the Maternity Home. The new home is approximately 3552 square feet and will provide a home for eight to ten girls at a time, along with full time house parents. The downstairs girl’s bedroom and living area are ADA compliant.

We estimate that it will cost $125 per square foot to build, furnish and provide the first year’s operating costs for this home.
